There I was, working away in the air conditioned bliss of my home office, oblivious to the extreme heat wave raging outside, when my roommate burst in -- interrupting my reverie to inform me that the garage door was broken, he'd called a garage door repairman...and the guy was outside saying I needed new springs!
I emerged from my climate-controlled cocoon into the blistering reality of a Vegas summer afternoon -- which got even hotter when I saw the adorable Thor lookalike sweating away in my busted old garage! OMG... I need to break my garage door more often 😁
All joking aside, despite the 115° heat, Malachi replaced my springs (and repaired damage done by a previous repairman) in no time flat, was polite and professional, and overall just very pleasant to deal with. He did not try to upsell me --in fact, he advised that I could probably postpone replacing the springs for at least a few months. But I went ahead and did it anyway, because I liked his demeanor, and I'm happy to support a small family business.
Unfortunately, I don't have any more garage doors to break...otherwise I would call them again in a hot minute.
And I do mean hot!
